Ellen Taylor wrote 27
episodes of DT between Seasons 5-7. She was a producer in Season 6, and a
series producer in Season 7.
Following her three years on DT,
she joined "Casualty" in 2006, staying for four years and working
the roles of story producer and series editor for over 70 episodes, and
writing 9 episodes up to 2010.
After producing the TV movie
"Accidental Farmer" (2010) and writing 2 episodes of "Waterloo Road"
(2010-11), she began her longest role as a writer on "Coronation Street",
where up to 2026, she has to date written more than 200 episodes.
During this time she has also
written for "The Musketeers" (1 episode, 2016) and "Sanditon" (1 ep, 2022).
As Ellen left DT in Season
7 Episode 32, she made an on-screen appearance as Detective
Taylor, who arrested Pilar Hernandez. Ellen's
father, the actor, director and producer Malcolm Taylor, also appeared as Ray
the security guard in Episode
13 of that season.
